23 things in my garden

Well, I'd like to reflect on how learning and experiencing these 23 things is like what I do in my garden. Sometimes I research and look for the perfect plant, sometimes I see something I like, don't even know the name, and add it to my garden. SO this blog is like a new plant I don't know anything about. I don't know where it will lead me, but I have it now, so I'll water it and take care of it. Helen at USC

  1. That is a great image, of watering something you don't know what it is yet. My mom is the gardener in our family.

  2. Fabulous metaphor! Can't wait to see what kinds of things grow in the garden...

  3. Brilliant comparison. And very inspiring to me, who has no green thumb whatsoever, but such a strong desire to be a gardener. Such a frustrating combination, but you may inspire me to step out of my comfort zone (playing with my techie toys) and into the garden! Eek!

  4. Helen, I love your bluebells - I had a very small corner under a shady tree in my garden when I lived in Virginia. Do they naturalize/spread well? If so, do you have a particular variety to recommend (or a clump if you end up with extra like I always do with my sedum). It looks like a Lovely garden. Edith
